I’m going to jail. Criticizing religion is illegal.

Be careful with how you react. Thanks to legal pressure from Catholics and Islamists, it is now illegal in some western countries to criticize people’s religion. If someone gets offended, you will get fined or jailed. In Islamist countries you may get executed.

This is not a joke. Check if you have these laws in your country: Blasphemy law.

George Orwell would have been proud.

I wonder… Let’s play with the thought that God exists. Did God ask all these deluded lunatics for help to defend His honour? Does He appreciate their help? Does God get hurt by words from atheists? Is God unable to protect Himself?

May I offer this comparison:

Atheists attack ideas. Religions attack human beings.

Atheists use words. Religions use politics, law, schools, suicide bombs, holy wars, inquisitions.

If you’re an atheist reading this, ask yourself: when was the last time someone asked you if you might be offended by religious people’s words and their actions?
